12 & 13 year olds: Every six months we will hold a special Missionary Prep for our Deacons and Beehives. This will be a lesson and activity geared specifically for them. We are targeting to hold the first session in March. Stay tuned for the exact date.

On March 12th there is a Temple trip planned to perform baptisms. We will meet in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple lobby at 6:30 so everyone can be dressed and ready by 7pm. If you have family names for baptism and would prefer the youth to do the work, please contact their leaders. Cards will be returned to you after ordinance work of baptism and confirmation are completed.

March 14th: This is the another opportunity for everyone in the ward to do baptisms at the Temple. Meet at 6:30pm in the lobby.  If you can't attend on the 12th, please come on this day!

With help from consultants, members can search a find a family name to take to the Temple. Sis. Webster has reserved the scanner for us that evening. If you would like to input photos, slides, etc into the system please bring them with you. The Ward Primary will watch little children in a room across from the Center. This open house will be the YM/YW Activity for the week.

March 12, 7pm: the youth in the ward will go to the temple and do baptisms for family names as part of Bishop's challenge to take at least one name all the way through the ordinances during the year. We’ll need some elders to volunteer to help with ordinances.


March 14, (time TBA) the adults in the ward will have the opportunity to do baptisms for the dead

Feb 24, 3pm: Stake Mission Prep in the Chapel
Pres. Rich and Bishop Evans will be be discussing the Missionary Application Process with Q&A.

Feb 24, 4pm: Stake Self-Reliance Initiative for 2019

AF West Stake Adult Religion Class, spring semester is starting soon! It will be held at the Stake Center RS room every Wednesday at 11am, beginning February 13 and continuing until May 8 (no class April 10). The theme is “Search the Prophets” and will be taught by JoLyn Day.

Young Men

This week the young men are doing baptism for the dead. We are going to try doing this on Thursdays. We will meet Thursday, February 7, at the church at 6:30 PM.

Remember to keep doing indexing. There’s a new YM group for 2019 that you need to join.

Relief Society

We loved seeing so many of your smiling faces in our first Relief Society meeting of the new year. We sure missed those who were unable to join us. We want you to know that we are thinking and praying for each one of you.

We will no longer include information about our upcoming Sunday discussions in the RS email. Be on the lookout for a separate email related only to the Sunday discussions from Sister Christensen.

Feb 8th & 9th American Fork Family History Center Open House- please come check out the new Family History Center and all it has to offer! It is newly remodeled and amazing for families to go learn how to do Family History work. It is currently open right now.

Elder’s Quorum

There will be an Elder’s Quorum Activity this Thursday, February 7th, at 7pm-10pm at AJ Creek’s house. We will be indexing and having food, and possibly watching a “sports” thing.  The time frame is flexible for those who can’t stay for the entire time, or who have children or other commitments that night. Please bring a laptop and an appetite!

February 23rd: Ward Temple Night Endowment Session at 6:30pm.
